Google Announced : The all new Pixel & Pixel XL

   So its time to say goodbye to the Nexus Brand and Welcome to Pixel...Yes google have discontinue the nexus brand series and launch the new brand in the market "Pixel".  The "Pixel" brand is a collaboration between Google and HTC,yes the same team that brought us both the first Android phone and the first Nexus.

Today Google announced the 2 phones - the Pixel and Pixel XL - cover the bases of size preference, 5" and 5.5" respectively. Both have AMOLED screens, with 1080p resolution for the small one (441ppi) and QHD for the big one (534ppi). Battery capacity is also different, 2,770mAh and 3,450mAh.

Beyond that, both Pixels are more similar than they are different. Qualcomm supplied a revamped chipset, the Snapdragon 821, Android 7.1 Nougat brings "sustained performance mode."

The camera boasts the same excellent qualities that we have seen in the last pair of Nexus devices - 12MP sensor, 1.55µm pixels, f/2.0 aperture. But it adds Electronic Image Stabilization, which Google demoed on stage and looked pretty impressive.

The Google Pixel and Pixel XL have the same storage options - 32GB and 128GB. By the way both Pixel phones get unlimited Google Photos storage for photos at full resolution.

Both come with 4GB of RAM - one better than the Nexus 6P, nothing extraordinary though a clean Android OS runs leaner.

While HTC built the phones, the Pixels branded only with the Google logo. And they are loaded to the teeth with Google services that cover everything from messaging, through cloud services to AI assistants. The search giant has a growing stable of self-branded devices - the Google phone can connect to a Google router and cast to a Google media player, you get the idea.

 The two phones are priced accordingly - they start $649 and will be available through a bunch of carriers and retailers. Check them out below. UK prices are £599/£699 for the 32GB/128GB Pixel and £719/£819 for the 32GB/128GB Pixel XL.

This phones will be available in India from October 20 through : Flipkart, Reliance Digital & Croma Electronics

        Pre-orders in India on October 13, with actual sales starts from October 20. The phones        will be available in Quite Black, Very Silver and Really Blue color.

KickassTorrents domains seized after alleged owner is arrested in Poland

The US Justice Department says it has successfully  apprehended and charged the alleged founder and operator of KickassTorrents, the world's largest and most notorious BitTorrent distribution site. Artem Vaulin, a 30-year-old man from Kharkiv, Ukraine, was arrested today in Poland on behalf of the US, which has requested his extradition for crimes related to running the site. Vaulin now faces two counts of criminal copyright infringement, one count of conspiracy to commit criminal copyright infringement, and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. All of the sites domains are in the process of being seized, while access to the site appears to have halted.

"Vaulin is charged with running today’s most visited illegal file-sharing website, responsible for unlawfully distributing well over $1 billion of copyrighted materials," wrote Leslie R. Caldwell, the assistant attorney general of the Justice Department's criminal division, in a statement. "I n an effort to evade law enforcement, Vaulin allegedly relied on servers located in countries around the world and moved his domains due to repeated seizures and civil lawsuits. His arrest in Poland, however, demonstrates again that cybercriminals can run, but they cannot hide from justice."

VAULIN IS SAID TO HAVE DISTRIBUTED MORE THAN $1 BILLION IN COPYRIGHTED MATERIALS
Torrent sites have long held that they are compliant with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and therefore also protected by its safe harbor provisions. Because sites like KickassTorrents only allow users to provide links to pirated content, the defense goes that those sites should not be held responsible for what users do with that freedom. However, authorities say Vaulin's operation often skirted takedown requests using lengthy demands.

When asked by Hollywood movie studios or other intellectual property holders to remove links to copyrighted content on the site, KickassTorrents is said to have rejected takedown notices based on meeting an entire list of sometimes arcane and confusing criteria, writes Ars Technica. Demands included showing proof of both copyright ownership and that the content in question is in fact legally copyrighted, but KickassTorrents never appeared to indicate which one of those requests was not fulfilled when responding to notices. The federal affidavit says KickassTorrents was also taking in more than $16 million in advertising revenue as of this year.

The final Android 7.0 'Nougat' Developer Preview is ready

Owners of Nexus devices can now download the fifth and final Android 7.0 'Nougat' Developer Preview, ahead of the operating system's stable release later this summer.

Google has focused on improving the stability of the operating system in this final Developer Preview, so there aren't any new features or changes to discuss. The release notes say that NPD90G, the build number for Developer Preview 5, includes the final Android N APIs as well as bug fixes and optimizations across the OS and its apps.

Like previous Android 7.0 test builds, you don't have to be a developer to download and install the Developer Preview on your Nexus device. Simply head to the Android Beta pageand enroll your devices in the Android Beta Program. The current Android 7.0 preview is supported on the Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Pixel C, Nexus Player, and General Mobile 4G.

For those devices already enrolled in the Beta Program, you should already start receiving over-the-air notifications to update. System images are also available from theAndroid Developer website here.

Now that Google has essentially finalized Android 7.0, the company expects to release a stable version of the OS by the end of summer. Nexus devices will be first in line for an update, after which it will be interesting to see which major companies push out Nougat to their handsets first. Considering preview builds have been available since March, surely some popular devices will get the update shortly after 

release.
